Secretary Peter Hoy

I am keenly interested in building amateur sport in Oakville as I have been active as an athlete and coach for many years:

I’ve recently retired from the Ontario Public Service where I served for 28 years mostly in managerial positions where I had responsibility for building new programs and managing high level, high risk projects.  Through my career I have gained considerable experience and expertise in areas such as project management and organizational development that I would like to share, in a volunteer role, with Sport Oakville.
I have lived in Oakville for 25 years and I am now in a position to give something back to this wonderful community.  As a member of the Board of Directors, I would have an opportunity to contribute my time and expertise to help build and strengthen amateur sport programs in Oakville.

Kristen Rogalsky

Growing up in Oakville, I participated in a variety of sport clubs—the experiences that I gained from this participation influenced my personal development and inspired my career path where I am now pursuing my PhD in Recreation and Leisure studies. Now that I have moved back to Oakville with my fiancé, I would like to give back to the Oakville sport community that has made such a large impact on my life. I believe that my unique skill set and knowledge will allow me to make a positive contribution to Sport Oakville and its members.
On a personal level, I am actively involved in sport and recreation. I’ve competed as a coxswain on rowing crews at the provincial, university, and club level. A coxswain is a key component of any successful rowing team, and is responsible for developing race plans and leading the crew to the podium. The role of coxswain requires strong communication, the ability to motivate, make quick decisions and execute plans.

Art walfordArt Walford with two daughters playing softball was my introduction to sport in Oakville. Twelve years with Oakville Girls Softball Association kept me busy in various capacities. I was first involved with Sport Oakville from 2002 to 2009 in various roles on the Board of Directors: Treasurer for 2002-2003, Chair in 2004, Past Chair 2005-2006 and Director at Large, 2007-2009.  I rejoined the board in 2010 until the present. Currently being retired I still continue to support community sports opportunities in all areas but especially for the youth of Oakville.
