Ron Bidulka Sport Oakville’s long standing Treasurer stepped down this year due to an increased work load. Ron was always a dedicated and professiona member of the board and will be missed. Securing sponsorships was one asset along with sage advice on many board matters which made Ron a great resource for all Oakville. Good luck Ron, it was a pleasure.

Sport Oakville Executive Officers
The first meeting after the 2013 AGM saw the board select new executive officers. Returning as President is Claudio Serrao after having filled in for David Haslam. Cathy Watt having sat in most of the executive positions returns as Treasurer. Wayne Moorehead jons the exuctives as Vice President having served on the board for several terms. One of the newest board members Matt Trinnear brings his experience to the position as Treasurer. We welcome the new executives and appreciate their commitment.
Oakville Development Grant (submit request now)
Development Grant application must be in by March 15th to qualify for the first round of funding. 2013 brings a new simplified application form requiring less information making it easier for you apply. With demand regularly exceeding the $25,000 of available funds , it is important to get your request in and also that you have the receipts to ensure full payment for your allocation. It is especially important for you notify us as early as possible, if your do not going to fully utilize your approved allocation so that we may disburse it to other clubs. At year end unused finds are retained by the town and lost forever for use by the members. Please note also the sooner your turn in receipts the sooner you will be paid.
Oakville Development Grant Dollars 2012 (money well spent)
Sport Oakville announces a very successful conclusion to the 2012 Oakville Development Grant Program. For the first time ever the entire allocation of $25,000 was distributed to member clubs. The Development Grant Committee led by Wayne Moorehead accomplished the full distribution with great deal of assistance from Town Liaison Patti Peebles. Sport Oakville is hopeful this trend continues in the future.
